The Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) was created in 1989 to provide research partnerships between faculty and first- and second-year students. The program has aimed to engage students early in their academic careers in the excitement of research and to provide a variety of support services to facilitate successful experiences for both faculty and students.
